The Mayor's Arts Council (MAC) was created to help build and support a more robust arts and culture foundation for the city of Angola and its surrounding area.

Mayor's Arts Council Meetings
"Sculptures Angola" is the MAC's signature project. The first sculptures, pictured below, were installed in June of 2019 and displayed through June 2020. The placemaking initiative is supportive of education and entrepreneurship initiatives related to the growth of the creative economy. Current sculptures can also be viewed at the Steuben County Tourism Bureau.
Placemaking data collected through the Angola Hometown Collaboration Initiative (HCI) helped to encourage the creation of the arts council and is also planned to help fund the initial year for "Sculptures Angola".
