            Applications for hand gun permits must be completed on-line. To complete an application, log on to the following website: https://firearms.ariesportal.com/.  Complete the entire application and at the bottom select “submit.”  You will then receive a message informing you of the penalties for providing false information.  If the information is correct, submit the application.  If the application is completed successfully, you will receive a confirmation page.

            Once the application has been submitted, you will need to schedule an appointment with MophoTrust USA to have your fingerprints electronically submitted, and to pay the state application fee. No fingerprints will be performed at the Angola Police Department.  To schedule an appointment with MorphoTrust USA, log onto http://www.l1enrollment.com/state/?st=in or call (877) 472-6917.  The fees for each type of permit can be located here: http://in.gov/isp/3065.htm.

            Within 60 days of submitting an electronic application, you will need to come to the Angola Police Department to finish the application process (this may be done prior to, or after, being fingerprinted).  You will be asked to review your application, and then pay the local application fee.  This completes your application.  The Chief of Police will review your application and then submit it to the State Police for processing.
