The City of Angola Fire Department has announced a new product to a successful, existing program. With the help of F.E.M.A.'s Assistance to Firefighter's Grant, the fire department has purchased several hundred smoke detectors for distribution to area residents.
The First Alert 10 Year Detector is free of charge and will be made available to qualified residents that complete an application and agree to the terms. The fire department will install one free detector in the sleeping area of the home. For more information about the First Alert 10 Year Detector, click here.
Interested residents can download the Smoke Detector Application or stop by the fire station and pick one up. Return the application to the fire station. Questions about the First Alert Detector or the Smoke Detector program can be emailed to smokedetectors@angolain.org
